Sell. Save. Scale: A Journey to Building a Growth Mindset

When people hear the words "sell," "save," and "scale." They often think it’s just another business mantra. For me, it’s more than that; it also forms part of my story.

The Early Days: Learning to Sell

I discovered the power of selling very early in life. While still in primary school, I would draw cartoons, create little illustrations, and paint for my classmates for a fee. It may have looked like child’s play, but it taught me the first big lesson of entrepreneurship: people are willing to pay for value.

“Selling is not about forcing people; it’s about creating value they can’t ignore.”

In secondary school, I took it a step further. This time, I ventured into photography. Again, I found myself turning creativity into cash. Looking back now, I see that selling wasn’t just about money; it was about courage.

“Every sale begins with the courage to show up.”

The Hard Lesson: Saving

By the time I got into a tertiary institution, I was juggling multiple creative ventures. Handmade cards, crafts/abstract art, portraits, and anything my hands could create, I turned into products. The problem? Saving.

Money came, but money also went just as quickly. I didn’t have the discipline of financial management. I learned the hard way that making money is not the same as keeping money.

“Money made is not money kept; discipline is what builds wealth.”

Eventually, I realized that without saving, growth stalls. That was when I began to take financial discipline seriously, setting something aside for the rainy days.

 The Game Changer: Scaling

Even after mastering selling and learning to save, there was still one more piece to the puzzle: scaling.

I realized that if I kept operating at the same level, just doing small projects here and there, I would remain stuck. Scaling meant thinking bigger, expanding my reach, building systems, and positioning myself to make a strong statement at the marketplace.

“Scaling is not about doing more; it’s about growing smarter.”

It wasn’t just about working hard anymore; it was about working smart and multiplying impact.

 Why This Matters

This is why I’m passionate about Sell. Save. Scale. It’s not a theory; it’s a lived experience. From my childhood hustles to adult lessons, these three principles have shaped my growth.

“If you don’t scale, you’ll stall.”

And now, I want to take others on this journey too. Our next cohort is all about practical lessons on how to sell effectively, save consistently, and scale strategically.
